DTD - Duck Tape Dummy tutorial

Custom written tutorial on how to correctly make a duck tape dummy for a fullsuit commission by Those Anthro Creatures. Video version coming soon!

Step 1

What do I need?

  • Duct tape - any colour except black(quantity depends on your height and weight)

  • Painter's coveralls (has to be your exact size)

  • Scissors

  • A friend or a family member

Step 2

Let's start

Now that you have your materials and someone to help you out, its time to start making your DTD!

Get into the painters coveralls and start putting duck tape at the start of the neck. Gradually make your way to the arms and torso. For areas where you can no longer comfortably reach - ask your helper for help!

Make sure that the tape covers the entire coverall, don't leave gaps as that can impact the size of the fullsuit later on.

Do not cover the zipper in tape! Put the tape around the zipper.

You dont need to cover your feet and hands in duct tape.

I know this might be awkward.. But you do have to put duck tape on your bum and crotch aswell, dont leave them out!

Make sure the tape doesn't shrink the coverall, it shouldn't feel tight or uncomfortable. (Only a little hot haha)

Step 3

Are we done yet?

After all of the coverall has been covered in duct tape, simply unzip the suit and get out of it. Tadaa! After hours of standing and so much tape, you have successfully made your very own duct tape dummy.

Fold it, put it in a box and ship it to us!
